Scope of Role
This role is responsible for leading a full-scale technology transformation across a regulated, multi-entity organization. The mandate is to assess the current environment, modernize core systems, and build a scalable, enterprise-ready technology foundation aligned to business growth.
Key areas of ownership include:
• End-to-end transformation of core platforms, including claims, administration, billing, and digital portals, with accountability for build vs buy decisions and long-term scalability
• Modernization of legacy systems (including AS400 or similar environments), driving migration to modern architecture with minimal disruption to operations
• Oversight of enterprise security, compliance, and audit readiness across frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC, and NIST
• Development and execution of AI and automation strategies to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and financial performance
• Buildout and scaling of data and analytics capabilities, including data warehouse architecture, reporting, and governance
• Strategic partnership with executive leadership to align technology investments with business growth, product expansion, and market competitiveness
• Evaluation and optimization of current technology environment, including vendor landscape, infrastructure, and internal capabilities
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and execution. The ideal candidate will bring experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives, modernizing legacy environments, and building technology functions that directly support growth in regulated industries.
Location: Open to candidates living in Kansas or willing to relocate.
