The job market remains soft. The unemployment rate is moving up to a more realistic number. All of this to say we are seeing fewer jobs, and we are seeing longer processes. A lot of those companies have increased the requirements for the job which tends to make them pickier.
Some interesting numbers from our data through the first 9 months:
- Number of days from when we take an assignment until we present the candidate who is ultimately hired – 25 days (down from 27 in 2024)
- Number of days from when we take an assignment until the company hires someone – 60 days (down from 74 in 2024 – companies are moving quicker)
- Number of days from when the candidate who is ultimately hired is hired – 32 days (down from 44 in 2024 – Companies shaved off two weeks!!)
As we begin the fourth quarter, this is the time of year where we often see a bump in activity as people hunker down for the remainder of the year to ensure goals are met and budgets are spent.
