For most people September means that kids are back in school, fall is coming, football season is here, and people are back to their “normal” schedule. September also begins the sprint to the December 31st finish line. Over the next four months, we traditionally see companies looking to hire people while also focusing on completing their annual objectives. The wild card in 2024 is the presidential election in November. Sometimes companies and people take a “wait-and-see” approach before making decisions.
In August, the government came out and significantly revised the March unemployment numbers. We anticipate more changes coming to reflect the current unemployment rate more accurately, which we believe is closer to 4.5% or higher.
As we begin the sprint to 12/31, each year talent wins out. Having the right people in the right roles makes the difference. If there is anything I can do to assist you or your department to level up, please let me know.
